Your Property Video Walkthrough

Before your walkthrough with Danny, grab your phone and capture the items below. Shoot horizontally, move slowly, and say each room or side out loud as you go. About 5 to 10 minutes total is plenty.

Outside

1Curb view: start at the street, showing the full front of the home, driveway and street.
2All four sides: walk the full perimeter, front, both sides and back (siding, windows, doors, foundation).
3Roofline: as much of the roof as you safely can from the ground on each side, including gutters and any visible wear.
4Your lot: pan the whole property, including yard, fences, garage or shed, and roughly where the property lines are.

Utilities

5Heating and cooling: furnace or air handler, the outdoor AC unit and the thermostat.
6Water heater: get the label if you can (it shows the age).
7Electrical panel: door open so the breakers show.
8Water and sewer: well or water meter, and septic or sewer cleanout if you have one.
9Plumbing: any visible pipes or leaks under sinks.

Inside

10Every room: kitchen, every bedroom and bathroom, living areas, plus basement, attic access and garage interior if you have them. Slow pan of each room, including floors and ceilings.
11Anything that needs repair: water stains, cracks, soft spots or damage, up close.
